2021 Detroit PSL Girls Swimming Champions: Detroit Cass Technical

Detroit Cass Technical repeats as PSL  girls swimming champions

Detroit Cass Technical won the 2021 Detroit Public School League Girls Swimming Championship for the third straight season. Cass Tech finished with 197 points. Detroit Western International was second with 108 points. Detroit Renaissance was third with 92 points. Detroit Martin Luther King Jr. was fourth with 38 points. Cass Tech won all three relays and four individual titles. Adanna Nwamba won both the 50-yard and 100-yard freestyle. Joi Childress won the 100-yard butterfly. Angel Alexander won the 100-yard backstroke. Nwamba, Childress, and Alexander were also part of the Technicians' winning 200-yard medley relay team along with Kasandra Negrete. Cass Tech's Kia Jones was named PSL girls coach of the year. King's Lailah Washington was named swimmer of the meet, winning the 200-yard individual medley and the 500-yard freestyle.
