2020 PSL boys cross country champion: Detroit Cass Technical.
Technicians use depth to earn championship
Detroit Cass Technical used its strong depth outpace Detroit Renaissance to win the Detroit Public School League boys cross country championship, placing four runners in the top 10. Junior Duane Wright finished third in 19:03.28. Junior Kelston Richmond was fourth in 19:34.8. Junior Jameson Head was eighth in 20:00.7 and senior Edwin Bell took 10th in 20:03.0. Cass Tech finished with 33 points. Renaissance was second with 49 points. Renaissance senior JeRon Lawrence won the individual championship in 18:43.3.

Phoenix rise past rivals to win championship
Detroit Renaissance dominated the field to win the Detroit Public School League girls cross country championship, placing six runners in the top 10. Renaissance senior Kynnedee Cowles won the individual championship for the fourth straight year in 20:41.5. Freshman Christian Sanders was second (21:35.2), senior LaJeanee Porter was third (23:24.0), and freshman Rachel Dumas was fourth (23:33.0). Sophomore Aniya Lewis placed sixth (24:40.7) and junior Anya Coates was ninth (24:59.0). Renaissance finished with 16 points. Detroit Cass Technical was second with 54 points.
